Job Summary

The University of Alabama seeks a highly skilled and experienced Program Coordinator to lead the Supplemental Instruction Program. This is a key role in supporting student success and academic achievement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Select, train, supervise, and evaluate supplemental instruction leaders and peer educators.
  • Collaborate with campus partners, program manager, director, and Capstone Center for Student Success colleagues to develop and implement a comprehensive supplemental instruction program.
  • Participate in assessment efforts to identify programmatic needs and accountability for program success related to specified learning and operational outcomes.
  • Develop and implement effective marketing and communication strategies to promote programs, services, and activities to students and campus-wide constituencies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher and some experience.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks, attend to detail, work independently, and adhere to strict timelines.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to successfully perform essential tasks.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in higher education, student affairs, college student personnel, or related area.
  • Experience with the development, implementation, and management of supplemental instruction or peer leadership programs.
  • Experience in supervision, advising, academic coaching, or student development in higher education.
  • Knowledge and understanding of best practices in student development, campus environments, community, and student learning theories and their application in practice.
