- Child Observation: Conduct ongoing observations of children, documenting their progress and interests through various methods.
- Progress Assessment: Regularly assess and communicate children's development to parents, ensuring they are informed of their child's growth.
- Conferences: Organize and conduct Family/Teacher Conferences at least biannually with center administration.
- Classroom Maintenance: Keep the classroom organized and inviting, encouraging children to participate in tidying up.
- Room Décor: Create an engaging and educationally stimulating environment through thoughtful display and arrangement of materials.
- Supply Management: Manage classroom supplies, including ordering and inventorying materials and equipment.
- Licensing Participation: Engage in planning for licensing and monitoring visits.
- Food Program Compliance: Adhere to additional procedures for programs participating in CACFP.
- Professional Development: Actively participate in staff meetings, training programs, and center events to promote collaboration and growth.
- Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with 18 ECE credits.
- A minimum of two years of experience in an educational setting with preschool-aged children.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively engage with parents and guardians.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding center, staff, and family matters.
- Familiarity with DHS licensing, Keystone Stars, and accreditation standards.
- Ability to thrive in a multicultural classroom environment.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Suite.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
