Hospice House Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Hospice House team. As a Hospice House Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with terminal illnesses and their families in a supportive and comforting environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive care to patients and their families, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate services and ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Oversee the work of Licensed Practical Nurses, Nursing Assistants, and volunteers in the Hospice House.
  • Participate in community education and outreach to raise awareness of agency-provided programs, including hospice care, advanced care planning, and bereavement support.
  • Meet the physical demands of the position and maintain licensure and certification requirements.

Requirements:

  • Current, unrestricted Washington State license as a professional registered nurse.
  • At least two years of nursing experience, preferably with one year in acute care, home health, or hospice nursing.
  • Availability for day, night, and weekend shifts as needed and as scheduled by the supervisor.
  • Ability to work a minimum of two holidays per year.
