Job Summary:

As a Radiologic Technologist at Christus Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our imaging department. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate technologist to join our team and support our mission to deliver exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, including routine and advanced imaging, utilizing proper technique and providing clear instructions to patients.
  • Evaluate patients for clinical contrast history and potential contraindications, ensuring safe and effective imaging practices.
  • Adhere to established protocols, QA guidelines, and regulatory requirements to maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
  • Interact effectively with patients, care providers, and other team members to coordinate procedures and prioritize patient care.
  • Rotate within departments and clinics to ensure proper coverage and adapt to changing patient needs.
  • Assist radiologists and medical professionals in invasive and fluoroscopic procedures, utilizing equipment to pinpoint anatomical locations.
  • Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and compliant with Infection Control standards, promoting a safe and healthy environment.
  • Accurately code and enter charges, maintaining accurate records and contributing to the department's financial efficiency.
  • Adapt patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age-specific, and other developmental needs.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to CHRISTUS Health's Core values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the department's success and growth.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a hospital setting preferred.
  • Current registration from The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required.
  • Current state licensure required.
  • Current BLS (American Heart Association) certification required.
