Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Peer Support Professional to join our team at PRN for Families Inc. As a Peer Mentor, you will provide guidance and supervision to a young adult who has recently transitioned out of residential treatment.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, be health-conscious, and possess knowledge of de-escalation techniques. They should also be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, and have experience working with individuals with special needs.

As a key member of our team, the successful applicant will work collaboratively with biological parents, clinical staff, and other professionals to provide comprehensive support to our clients.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized guidance and supervision to a young adult in need of support
  • Assist the client with accountability, organization, and time management
  • Collaborate with family consultants to deliver education sessions on daily living skills and social skills
  • Document time spent with the client and maintain accurate records
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 21 years old
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Knowledge of de-escalation techniques and ability to apply them in volatile situations
Salary and Benefits
