Qualifications

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) are licensed, registered advanced practice nurses who have completed a postgraduate certificate, master's, or doctoral degree in anesthesia. CRNAs must achieve certification by passing a national qualifying examination in anesthesia. To maintain their practice license, CRNAs are required to complete biannual recertification through continuing education programs. Current ACLS certification is mandatory, while PALS certification is recommended.
