About the Position

We are seeking a highly qualified Nursing Lecturer to join our team at Georgia Southern University. As a key member of our School of Nursing, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of nursing professionals.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in nursing, promoting student success, participating in ongoing program and curricular assessment, and demonstrating continuing professional growth. This is an academic, non-tenure-track appointment with a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Teach didactic and clinical courses in nursing
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet program goals
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Participate in program and curricular assessment
  • Engage in continuing professional growth and development
Requirements
  • Earned master's degree in nursing or a closely related field
  • Unencumbered RN licensure in Georgia
  • Terminal degree in a field of nursing for graduate course instruction
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and learning
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous teaching experience at the university level
  • Experience in online instruction and development
  • Experience working with a diverse student body
