Shift Hours: 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM

Position Summary: Under the guidance of the Shift Foreperson, the Assembler is tasked with a variety of functions including assembling, testing, inspecting, and packaging a range of products including range hoods, compactors, blower assemblies, and bathroom heaters.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Review process documentation to fit, align, and assemble manufactured or purchased components, including motors and sub-assemblies into finished products, ensuring all necessary electrical connections are made.
  2. Conduct visual inspections for fit and surface issues; if discrepancies are found, repair or return items for rework, which may involve partial disassembly.
  3. Test units for proper functionality and prepare them for packaging, marking containers with relevant details such as type, style, color, and model number.
  4. Utilize blueprints, drawings, and process sheets to assemble a variety of standard products, following established methods.
  5. Employ hand and air-powered tools, as well as measuring instruments and gauges, ensuring final assemblies undergo thorough inspection.
  6. Engage in Lean manufacturing practices, including 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements:

Candidates must possess the ability to interpret drawings, blueprints, or process sheets and demonstrate a willingness to learn how to operate and make routine adjustments to various machinery.

Physical Requirements:

Must be capable of safely lifting up to 35 lbs and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
