POSITION SUMMARY:


The Firearms Retail Specialist is tasked with overseeing Counter Sales and delivering exceptional Customer Service for Firearms, alongside managing Floor and Counter Sales of various Hunting Merchandise.

This role involves engaging in diverse selling and customer service activities, which include warmly greeting and acknowledging all customers promptly, handling merchandise with care, and providing valuable information, assistance, and guidance to customers.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


Demonstrates a strong commitment to delivering world-class customer service, ensuring a pleasant and productive shopping experience for every customer. This includes:

  • Providing a memorable experience for each customer by assisting them in making informed purchasing decisions through:
    • Identifying and assessing customers' needs,
    • Offering product recommendations based on this assessment,
    • Promoting various programs, including CLUB membership, VOC, and In-Store Pickup.

Ensures the accurate and thorough completion of 4473 Forms.
Possesses the ability to demonstrate products effectively to customers.
Organizes and maintains merchandise within the retail space, particularly at the Gun Counter.
Restocks products on shelves as necessary, adhering to merchandising guidelines.
Maintains expertise in products through ongoing training.
Stays informed about advertised sales and ensures proper pricing and signage.
Assists with seasonal merchandise arrangements.
Keeps the work area clean, organized, and well-stocked with supplies.
Adheres to all company policies and procedures.


ADDITIONAL DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Degree Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: 0-2 years in Retail
Must be at least 21 years of age

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
Knowledge and experience in Firearms and Ammunition
Familiarity with ATF Federal and State Regulations
Customer Service and Sales experience in Firearms and Ammunition

GCA
Ability to Merchandise and Stock Products

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
N/A

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Constantly stand and/or walk during shifts
Occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
Regularly communicate with others to exchange information
Occasionally repeat motions that may involve wrists, hands, and/or fingers
Occasionally operate machinery and/or power tools
Occasionally operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment
Light work involving moving objects up to 20 pounds consistently, with occasional lifting of objects up to 100 pounds or more (using team lifts as necessary)
Occasionally work in tight and confined spaces
Occasionally work in noisy environments

INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT:
Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, utilizing established procedures and innovation. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Frequently makes recommendations regarding work procedures, policies, and practices.
