Job Title: VP of Data Engineering

Pivotal Solutions is seeking a highly experienced and visionary VP of Data Engineering to lead our data engineering organization and drive business outcomes through data-driven innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define Data Vision and Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with business objectives and enables data-driven decision-making.
  • Lead Data Engineering Organization: Build and manage a high-performing data engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Establish Data Governance: Develop and implement data governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
  • Drive Business Outcomes: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and develop data-driven solutions that drive revenue growth, cost reduction, and risk mitigation.
  • Manage Budget and Resources: Develop and manage the annual budget for the data engineering organization, ensuring effective allocation of resources and optimal ROI.
Requirements:
  • Leadership Experience: 15+ years of experience in leading and scaling data engineering organizations, with a proven track record of driving business outcomes through data-driven innovation.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong technical skills in data engineering, architecture, and governance, with experience in industry-standard platforms and tooling.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present to both business and technical executives.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand business needs and develop data-driven solutions that drive business outcomes.
