Position Summary:
The Advanced Practice Nurse is dedicated to delivering high-quality healthcare by evaluating, planning, and managing patient health concerns.

This role requires extensive education and training in diagnosing and managing prevalent medical conditions and chronic diseases.

Key Responsibilities:
Conducts comprehensive physical examinations and implements preventive health strategies within established protocols and guidelines.
Orders, interprets, and assesses diagnostic tests to identify and evaluate patients' clinical issues and healthcare requirements.
Documents physical assessments and develops a comprehensive care plan. Collaborates with relevant members of the healthcare team to review findings.
Engages in discussions regarding cases with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Operates within the defined scope of practice as determined by education, training, and established protocols.

Adheres to prescriptive authority as permitted by the relevant state boards and collaborative agreements.

Does not prescribe any controlled substances classified as schedule I or schedule II.
Aids the Medical Director in ensuring clinical competence and compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsible for overseeing nursing staff within the department.
Conducts annual reviews and updates of clinic policies in coordination with the Medical Director.
Maintains records in compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.
Engages in program development to address organizational needs and enhance patient outcomes.
Collaborates with various departments within the facility to optimize program efficiency.

Qualifications:
Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program with advanced education as an Advanced Practice Nurse, including certification from a nationally recognized nursing specialty organization or individuals who have met the advanced practice nursing criteria established by the State Board of Nursing.

Licenses and Certifications:
Current license from the State Board of Nursing.

BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory. A copy of the diploma or official transcript of the highest level of education is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient in managing staff to achieve objectives and ensure optimal outcomes. Ability to maintain financial sustainability through appropriate admissions to the department.
