Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team at Mercy. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care, maintaining professional accountability for the provision of care for assigned patients.
  • Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments.
  • Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information, performing duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy service standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
  • Licensure: Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed, meeting all state board of nursing requirements.
  • Physical requirements/demands: Prolonged standing and walking, ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
