Job Summary

The Software Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical support to clients, resolving complex technical issues, and ensuring timely resolution of client software issues. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to clients via phone, email, or web
  • Analyze data reports, forms, and web technologies to resolve technical issues
  • Use SQL to resolve basic to moderate issues
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members to resolve issues
  • Assist Implementation Specialists and Project Managers in establishing issue priorities
  • May assist with writing estimates for software modification specifications and documentation of support processes
  • May submit client issues to development team for resolution
  • Perform Quality Assurance testing for software module upgrades/changes
  • May provide training to client end-users
  • Creates or enhances documentation throughout the support process
  • Contributes to company knowledge library and/or Tyler Community
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a software support position or a position demonstrating systems knowledge
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Experience working with relational databases or SQL preferred
  • Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge and understanding of software development tools a plus
