Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Airport Maintenance Worker to join our team at the City Of Page. As a key member of our Public Works department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of skilled and semi-skilled labor-oriented functions in building maintenance at the Airport.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs routine plumbing repairs, replaces light bulbs and fluorescent lights, and makes electrical-related repairs.
  • Performs routine carpentry work, preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, and pesticide and herbicide application for weed control and pest extermination.
  • Monitors conditions of grounds, structures, and building facilities to maintain safety standards.
  • Conducts safety inspections on equipment and/or amenities, repairs equipment and facilities, and documents completed work on work orders.
  • Operates a pickup truck, forklift, and small tractor to transfer or load landscape materials.
  • Operates power-driven machinery, such as a jackhammer and concrete saw, to complete a wide range of maintenance duties.
  • Cleans, vacuums, removes trash and recycling from buildings, and cleans restrooms, sweeps, mops, and resupplies toiletries.
  • Performs preventative maintenance and cleaning tasks on equipment used to maintain proper working order.
  • Paints equipment, restrooms, and other areas in the airport building interior as requested.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Three (3) years of experience in public works type maintenance field desired.
  • One (1) to two (2) years of experience in the aviation field that is related to the duties of this position (if applicable).
  • Valid State driver's license upon employment.
Working Conditions

The work requires decision making that could lead to major community or organizational consequences if this position fails to make the appropriate decision at the time.

The employee must exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

The following physical abilities are required: crawling, crouching, feeling, fingering, grasping, hearing, kneeling, lifting, pulling, reaching, speaking, standing, stooping, talking, visual acuity, and walking.
