Aircraft Maintenance Specialist

Contour Airlines is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of our aircraft, performing routine maintenance operations, and troubleshooting complex issues.

• Read and utilize blueprints, maintenance manuals, and other technical documents to troubleshoot and complete work assignments
• Update maintenance and repair logs, and perform routine maintenance operations or repair of the aircraft
• Perform inspections and examinations of aircraft components, including de-icing, hydraulic systems, and landing gear
• Document maintenance procedures, including component damage, origin, and condition
• Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures
• Troubleshoot defective aircraft systems and components in an effective manner
• Use gauges and diagnostic tests to detect malfunctions
• Complete all tasks in the allotted time frame and to the quality standards of our company, our customers, and the FAA

The Aircraft Maintenance Technician will work in an airport ramp/warehouse environment, subject to varied weather conditions. The position requires frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, and standing on feet for extended periods. The ability to handle objects up to 70 pounds regularly and up to 100+ pounds occasionally is required. The position also requires the ability to use stairs, scaffolding, and/or ladders of varying heights without assistance.

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be authorized to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States
• Have a valid driver's license and good driving record
• Hold a FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
• Understand, read, and write English
• Possess polished and professional interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and a customer-oriented mindset
• Possess strong leadership and organizational skills
• Able to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Able to handle interruptions and a fast-paced environment
• Maintain strong attention to detail
• Be self-motivated and able to motivate others
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, delivered with tact and professionalism
