Job Summary

PIPECARE Group is seeking a highly skilled Assembly Technician to join our team in Houston, Texas. As a key member of our In-Line Inspection Services team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing pigs, control panels, wiring, tools, and machine components to ensure pipeline integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to perform assembly tasks.
  • Disassemble and reassemble tools, machines, and equipment to perform required inspections, maintenance, repairs, overhauls, and other similar activities.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment as needed to complete assembly tasks.
  • Determine project plans at the beginning of jobs and communicate the safety program and instructions to the shop floor.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Document assembly processes, including any deviations or modifications made during production.
  • Troubleshoot and repair pigs, control panels, wiring, tools, and machine components as required to support test runs and other related activities.
  • Achieve monthly production goals while maintaining an acceptable attendance hour to production ratio.
  • Be responsible for housekeeping of workspace and production and maintain a clean and safe environment that minimizes risk to both employees and equipment.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in mechanical assembly or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 1-5 years' experience in the same field preferably oil & gas industry.
  • Basic reading, listening, speaking and problem-solving skills.
  • Manual dexterity, physical strength, and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Previous experience in assembly or manufacturing roles is desirable.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Good color discernment and color vision.
  • Good computer skills, as well as knowledge of manufacturing reporting software.
  • Industry-related engine and compressor factory training and/or certification required.
