Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at St. Luke's Hospital. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic procedures, adhering to radiation protection principles, and ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures, evaluating the technical quality and ensuring patient safety.
  • Identify patients and exams, and perform diagnostic radiographic services with maximum care.
  • Assist in gathering and recording data for Radiology Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement program.
  • Assume responsibility for assigned area, ensuring all equipment and supplies are readily available.
  • Accurately adhere to downtime procedures, ensuring continuity of care for patients.
  • Maintain responsibility for own professional development through active participation in in-services and/or continuing education programs.
  • Provide educational information to patients regarding their examination.
  • Annual peer review of films meets department standards.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an ARRT recognized education program, or ARRT registered, or ARRT registry eligible.
  • Must pass registry within 1 year of hire date. NJ staff must have current New Jersey State Radiologic Technologist License (with NJ Dept. of Environmental Protection) and must be registered before date of hire.
  • Experience as a radiologic technologist preferred, and ongoing training in department procedures.
  • Must rotate through all areas of diagnostic radiology.
  • Current BLS certification required within three months of hire.
  • History of computer usage experience required.
