Compensation Details:

  • Hourly Wage: $ / hour
  • Sign-On Bonus: $250
  • Retention Bonus: $250 after 90 days of employment

Position Summary

We are seeking a meticulous and results-oriented PPE Care Sewer Seamstress (Industrial) to enhance our team. This position focuses on the repair, alteration, and enhancement of PPE elements, as well as the production of finished items such as letter patches, hose straps, and gear bags.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute repairs and alterations using industrial sewing machines, while incorporating accessory items into PPE elements.
  • Adhere to established patterns and specifications, and develop new patterns as required.
  • Contribute to the creation of finished products, including letter patches, hose straps, shrouds, gear bags, and more.
  • Adjust sizing on uniforms as necessary.
  • Utilize all available industrial sewing machines effectively.
  • Remove and install patches on uniforms.
  • Familiarize yourself with NFPA 1851 and other relevant industry standards.
  • Maintain precise sewing logs for tracking purposes.
  • Assist in the intake of new fabrics, materials, and hardware.

Essential Skills

  • Proficient sewing skills.
  • Experience working with heavy fabrics and hardware.
  • Ability to lift and handle items weighing up to 10 pounds.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English.
