We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team at Gateway Recruiting, INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and laws, managing import and export processes, and collaborating with stakeholders to mitigate risk and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement compliance programs to ensure adherence to international trade regulations and laws
- Manage import and export processes, including customs documentation, shipping, and receiving of foreign merchandise
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks associated with international trade
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues on trade compliance matters
- Stay up-to-date with changes in trade regulations and laws, and implement necessary changes to compliance programs
- Education background in Regulatory (food safety, WOAH standards, FDA or USDA compliance) or Customs regulation (Classification, FTA management, post-entry review)
- Customs certification is a plus
- College education is required
- Experience with compliance programs for international shipments
- Data management including Excel, professionalism in communication, and PowerPoint
- Experience in the Customs ACE portal is a plus
