At Kaiser Permanente, we're seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team in Tualatin, Oregon. This is a full-time day position offering 40 hours of work per week.

About the Role

As a Physical Therapy Assistant at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in providing quality physical therapy services to patients. Your primary responsibility will be to administer treatment plans established by physical therapists to restore function, prevent disability, and return patients to their maximum potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver physical therapy treatments to patients ranging from geriatric to pediatric ages, following treatment plans, physician orders, professional standards, and departmental protocols.
  • Teach patient care classes and groups for specific disorders, as ordered by physicians and in line with departmental policies. You may also participate in patient care clinics based on specialized training or continuing education.
  • Communicate treatment outcomes to evaluating therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, while completing all chart documentation as required by Kaiser Permanente and State License regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment, adhering to departmental standards.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A Graduate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology relevant to a PTA.
  • Successful completion of clinical internships.
  • A High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.
  • A valid Physical Therapy Assistant License in the state where care is provided.
  • Basic Life Support certification within two months of hire.
  • Strong skills in PT procedures and treatment, modalities, documentation, and CPR.
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience as a clinic PTA in a comparable setting would be advantageous, along with knowledge applicable to the patient load at KSMC. Skills in group dynamics and leading classes are also desirable.
