We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at the Cataract & Laser Institute. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our medical staff in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide patient care and support to individuals in the pre-surgical, operative, and recovery periods, working under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.
- Collaborate with medical staff and other departments to promote coordination of patient care and ensure seamless operations.
- Transport patients, perform housekeeping duties, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Provide administrative support, including chart maintenance, data entry, copying, dictations, phone calls, inventory, and supply restocking.
- Ensure quality of care by adhering to compliance standards, following ASC philosophies and standards of care, and maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Medium work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Close visual acuity to perform each activity.
We offer a competitive hourly wage of $18 - $20 based on experience, vision, and 401k benefits, as well as a flexible schedule with no nights, weekends, or holiday shifts.
