Kennel Attendant Position

The Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Attendant to join our team. As a key member of our kennel staff, you will provide daily care for our boarded animals, ensuring their health and well-being. Your responsibilities will include cleaning, bathing, grooming, exercising, and feeding our furry friends, as well as assisting with kennel maintenance and cleaning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily care for boarded animals, including feeding, cleaning, and exercising
  • Assist with kennel maintenance and cleaning, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our animals
  • Monitor animal behavior and report any changes or concerns to the veterinary team
  • Maintain accurate records of animal care, including weight, physical condition, and treatments received
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the veterinary team, including laundry and equipment maintenance

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience working with animals, preferably in a veterinary setting
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift 50lbs or more and stand for long periods
  • Team-oriented and able to work collaboratively with others
