Job Title: Tool and Die Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Tooling Group Leader position involves overseeing Tooling support personnel, managing current and future tooling projects essential for production and overall business operations. This role requires a strong technical understanding of Industrial Manufacturing, Plant Engineering, and Tooling, as well as expertise in developing and utilizing systems, knowledge of safety programs and preventative maintenance systems, and proficiency in 5S and attendance systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise Tooling Associates and manage departmental overtime
  • Ensure proper maintenance of press dies and weld fixture tooling
  • Coordinate with Divisional Engineering on projects
  • Manage departmental budget and Capital Programs
  • Provide essential training for personnel
  • Optimize production efficiency and product quality
  • Uphold safety standards and support continuous improvement efforts
  • Enhance preventative maintenance processes and spare parts inventory
Requirements and Expertise:
  • 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience
  • 3 to 5 years of automated manufacturing experience
  • Competence in developing and utilizing systems
  • Knowledge of safety programs and preventative maintenance systems
  • Proficiency in 5S and attendance systems
  • Technical understanding of Industrial Manufacturing, Plant Engineering, and Tooling
  • Technical Degree in Tooling Manufacturing or equivalent practical experience
  • Expertise with EDM, Lathes, CNC Mills, and surface grinders
  • Proficient in CAD software like CadKey light or AutoCAD
  • Skilled in using Microsoft software, blueprints, and Automotive Press stamping or robotic assemblies
Working Environment:
  • 20% office-based, 80% plant floor (PPE required)
  • Night Shift Hours
Physical Demands:

Regular communication with employees, peers, and management
Overtime flexibility required

Adherence to Health and Safety regulations and company policies
Utilization of required protective equipment
