Optum is seeking a skilled Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a dynamic and progressive healthcare organization.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our Hospital Medicine team. As a Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner, you will be an integral part of our care delivery team, working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide evidence-based medicine and patient-centered care to patients in the hospital setting
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Conduct thorough assessments, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and chronic conditions
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform other medical procedures as needed
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Unrestricted WA Nurse Practitioner License or ability to obtain prior to start date
  • Current DEA certificate or ability to obtain prior to start date
  • Current association certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
  • Minimum 1 year NP experience OR completion of a Hospitalist Residency Program
