As a Code Enforcement Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with city ordinances and regulations, promoting a safe and healthy living environment for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enforce city ordinances and regulations related to property maintenance, minimum housing, and zoning.
  • Conduct inspections to identify and address code violations.
  • Issue notices of violation, citations, and nuisance abatement work orders as necessary.
  • Collaborate with residents, property owners, and other stakeholders to resolve code-related issues.
  • Represent the City in court as required.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 60 college credit hours or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to learn quickly and remain flexible in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Valid Class C Texas driver's license required.
