Pediatric Rheumatology Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Rheumatology Nurse to join our team at Ascension Seton. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct nursing care to patients with rheumatological conditions, implementing and monitoring patient care plans, and serving as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring effective communication with the healthcare team.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate, utilizing critical thinking skills to make informed decisions.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team, ensuring a smooth transition to post-acute care.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required.
- Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required OR a bachelors level degree not in nursing, an active RN License, and enrolled in an Alternate Entry Masters of Science in Nursing Program with a minimum of 1 year in the program completed.
- Additional Preferences: 2 Years Minimum of RN experience REQUIRED, Pediatrics Experience is a PLUS, Rheumatology Experience is a PLUS.
