We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to serve as our Career Pathways Program Director. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic plan to advance our organization's mission and objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in workforce development, strategic planning, and change management. They will be responsible for promoting revenue, profitability, and growth, as well as overseeing operations to ensure efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.
The Career Pathways Program Director will be charged with fostering and stimulating collaboration and strategic partnerships at the local and statewide level. This will involve developing and managing relationships with funders, joint apprenticeship training programs, employers, trade union leadership, and partner organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage construction pre-apprenticeship courses.
- Engage in community outreach activities to promote the program and attract potential participants.
- Collect, collaborate, establish, and maintain stakeholder relationships.
- Schedule courses and facilities, and purchase and maintain equipment and supplies.
- Promote best practices and trends around existing pre-apprenticeship programs.
- Design, coordinate, update, schedule, and maintain pre-apprenticeship courses/curriculum in accordance with MC3 standards.
- Represent the organization at legislative sessions, committee meetings, and formal functions.
- Promote the organization to local, regional, and national constituencies.
- Initiate and develop relationships with community sectors, including non-profit organizations and business organizations.
- Build a political and community network.
- Build a fundraising network using personal contacts, direct mail, special events, and foundation support.
- Assist with periodic program assessment and program review.
- Assist with quarterly and annual grant reporting.
- Monitor pre-apprenticeship program budgets.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date case management records.
- Provide oversight of pre-apprenticeship instructors.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related subject.
- Previous nonprofit experience is preferred.
- 8-10 years of experience in executive or high-level managerial experience in workforce development, strategic planning, change management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
