Job Title: Part Time Sales Associate

Job Summary:

The Sales Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and sales support to customers in a fast-paced banking environment. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate and efficient transaction processing, including accepting deposits, verifying cash deposits, and processing payments.
  • Offer personalized sales and service support to customers, promoting bank products and services to meet their needs.
  • Operate core banking systems with accuracy and efficiency, adhering to bank policies and procedures.
  • Balance assigned cash daily and maintain strict adherence to security procedures.
  • Identify customers, obtain proper documentation, and verify endorsements and payees.
  • Exercise discretion, judgment, and initiative regarding transaction problems and inquiries.
  • Prepare mandatory currency transaction reports and monetary instrument logs in compliance with Bank Secrecy Act regulations.
  • Contribute to meeting monthly branch and individual scorecard goals by monitoring self-performance and following action plans.
  • Ensure delivery of excellent customer service throughout the Bank by adhering to sales and service standards.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of the Bank's in-house Sales Associate Training Program.
  • Previous customer service contact experience is highly desired.
  • Ability to demonstrate a sales-oriented professional demeanor.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in handling money preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel) required.
  • Understanding and working knowledge of appropriate core banking system is a plus.

Essential Functions:

  • Sitting and standing for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to observe, perceive, identify, and translate data.
  • Ability to travel via airplane, automobile, bus, and/or train.
