Human Resources Generalist Role

Williams College seeks an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join its team. This role is responsible for a wide range of HR functions, including employee relations, benefits administration, recruitment, and performance management.
Job Summary:
The HR Generalist will serve as the primary contact for employees and managers, providing expert consultation on HR policies, workplace procedures, and organizational rules. This role requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with empathy and discretion.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $64,000 - $72,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Williams College offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid leave, and access to gym facilities.
Responsibilities:
This role includes but is not limited to:
- Providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and laws governing employment.
- Handling sensitive matters with empathy and discretion.
- Facilitating processes to resolve workplace conflicts.
- Assessing and confirming worker classifications.
- Maintaining current knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
