Key Responsibilities:
As a Field Engineer, your duties will include:

  • Acting as the technical liaison among engineering teams, vendors, and construction personnel.
  • Assisting construction teams in verifying project designs and resolving discrepancies.
  • Validating project designs against actual field conditions and equipment needs.
  • Cross-checking design documents to identify and rectify discrepancies.
  • Reviewing equipment submissions to ensure alignment with project specifications.
  • Gathering field data to assist engineering teams in completing designs.
  • Maintaining the project design database to reflect current project scopes.
  • Supporting construction teams in adhering to project specifications.
  • Ensuring compliance with manufacturer requirements for electrical installations.
  • Verifying electrical equipment against project requirements upon arrival.
  • Assisting with 3D/BIM model coordination and documenting as-built information.
  • Representing client interests as necessary.
  • Contributing to the review of estimating specifications.
  • Drafting Requests for Information (RFIs) after reviewing project documents.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related ABET-accredited engineering program.

Preferred Skills:
Ideal candidates will have:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc.).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage project information.
  • The ability to interpret technical documents, including blueprints and manuals.
  • Effective prioritization skills to manage workload and stress.

Travel Requirements:
This position may require travel within a specified radius of the office.
