**Job Summary**
As a key member of the CAMC Health System team, the Exercise Physiologist will provide supervision of exercise testing and assist in supervising exercise training sessions. This role will also involve assisting with patient progressive ambulation and patient education.
**Responsibilities**
- **Patient Care**: Provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment, or care to patients as defined by the department's identified patient ages.
- **Knowledge and Skills**: Possess and demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care, including the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs, knowledge of growth and development, and understanding of the range of treatment needed by patients.
- **Common Duties and Responsibilities**: Maintain and document required education, demonstrate positive customer service and co-worker relations, comply with the company's attendance policy, participate in continuous quality improvement activities, perform work in a cost-effective manner, and follow organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
**Education and Experience**
- **Education**: Master's degree in exercise physiology or sports medicine is preferred. A Master's degree program with graduation within 12 months may also be considered.
- **Experience**: One year of maximal functional capacity exercise testing experience, leading and supervising exercises with normals and cardiac patients.
**Credentials**
- **Basic Life Support**: Obtain within 30 days of hire.
