Job Summary

As a key member of our healthcare team, the Exercise Physiologist will provide supervision of exercise testing and assist in supervising exercise training sessions, as well as assist with patient progressive ambulation and education.

ResponsibilitiesKnowledge, Skills & Abilities

The successful candidate will possess/obtain (by the end of the orientation period) and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment or care as defined by the department's identified patient ages.

Specifically, the employee must be able to demonstrate competency in:

  • Ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs
  • Knowledge of growth and development
  • Understanding of the range of treatment needed by the patients
Common Duties and Responsibilities

The Exercise Physiologist will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining and documenting all applicable required education
  • Demonstrating positive customer service and co-worker relations
  • Complying with the company's attendance policy
  • Participating in the continuous, quality improvement activities of the department and institution
  • Performing work in a cost-effective manner
  • Performing work in accordance with all departmental pay practices and scheduling policies
  • Following organizational and departmental policies and procedures
  • Performing related duties as assigned
Education and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in exercise physiology, sports medicine, or a related field. Additionally, they will have at least one year of experience in maximal functional capacity exercise testing, leading and supervising exercises with normals and cardiac patients.

Certification in Basic Life Support is also required within 30 days of hire.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time regular position with a work schedule that includes days and varied shifts.
