Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a full case load from inception to post-trial, ensuring timely and effective resolution of cases.
  • Attend hearings, depositions, mediation, and trials, providing expert representation and advocacy.
  • Prepare and review pleadings, discovery demands, discovery responses, motions, and other litigation documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case development and strategy.
  • Assist in the review of legal documents for accuracy and completeness, ensuring seamless case management.
  • Communicate effectively with senior associates to ensure cases are handled efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure confidentiality and maintain the highest level of professionalism in all interactions.
  • Prioritize workload based on deadlines, ensuring timely completion of tasks and projects.
  • Meet billing requirements, providing accurate and detailed records of time spent on cases.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Accredited Law degree from an ABA-accredited institution.
  • Must be a member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
  • 0-3 years of experience in commercial litigation.
  • Strong legal knowledge and expertise in commercial law.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong client service orientation, with ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, with ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Exceptional decision-making abilities, with ability to analyze complex information and make informed decisions.
  • Strong project management skills, with ability to plan, coordinate, and execute projects effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, with ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-stress situations.
  • Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
