Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Rocky Mountain Pediatric Hematology Oncology. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and managing patient appointments
  • Checking-in and checking-out patients
  • Entering charges and payments
  • Answering phone calls and responding to patient inquiries
  • Verifying patient insurance and demographics
  • Collecting co-payments and personal balances
  • Performing administrative duties and assisting nursing staff
  • Collecting patient specimens and taking vital signs
  • Preparing exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments
  • Assisting physicians with minor surgeries and physicals
Requirements
  • One year of Medical Assisting or direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting
  • Medical Assistant Certification (RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or NCRMA) or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment
