Welder Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Welder Specialist to join our team at SPX FLOW, Inc. in a direct hire, full-time, permanent position. This opportunity involves working in a fast-paced environment, utilizing orbital TIG and/or laser welding equipment to produce high-quality welds.

• Welding Operations: Perform a variety of welds, including butt welds, saddle welds, and repairing porosity in castings, to meet the requirements specified on the blueprint or work order procedure line.
• Equipment Setup: Select and set up the proper tooling and fixturing required to run the job, and adjust the welding machine to the correct settings for optimal penetration.
• Quality Control: Inspect welds for proper fusion and identify any flaws, such as skips, pits, or lack of penetration, and make required repairs as necessary.
• Maintenance: Clean and maintain welding equipment and the working area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred, with two years of related experience or a technical school graduate specializing in welding curriculum.
• Skills: Ability to read, write, and process instructions, use lifting and moving equipment, perform TIG and laser welding operations in various physical positions, and work effectively as part of a team.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with basic manufacturing mechanical blueprints and basic computer skills.

The Welder Specialist will work in a climate-controlled environment with moderate noise levels. Specific personal protective equipment (PPE) is required within the cell.
