Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Welder to join our team at SPX FLOW. As a Welder, you will be responsible for performing a variety of welds, including butt welds, saddle welds, and repairing porosity in castings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform welding assignments according to blueprints and routing procedure sheets.
  • Select proper tooling and fixturing required to run the job.
  • Setup the welding machine to the proper settings to achieve the proper penetration on the weld joint.
  • Inspect welds for proper fusion and for flaws such as skips, pits, or lack of a good penetration.
  • Make required repairs as necessary to defective weld areas or defective castings.
  • Clean and maintain welding, related equipment and working area free of any safety hazards.
Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, and process all instructions, written or verbal.
  • Ability to use lifting and moving equipment as required.
  • Ability to perform TIG and Laser welding operations in a variety of different physical positions.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Quality oriented mindset, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to complete all tasks in a safe and accurate manner.
  • Ability to read and understand basic manufacturing mechanical blueprints.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Basic Math skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of related experience OR technical school graduate specializing in welding curriculum.
Work Environment

The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Specific PPE is required within the cell.
