Position Overview:
The Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP) is in search of a passionate and committed Pre-Freshman Seminar Educator. This role is essential in equipping incoming students with the necessary skills to navigate the academic landscape of higher education. The educator will concentrate on enhancing students' foundational competencies in either mathematics or English, based on their area of specialization.

Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement engaging seminars focused on mathematics or English.
2. Evaluate student progress through various assessments, including assignments and examinations.
3. Provide constructive feedback to support student improvement in academic skills.
4. Collaborate with HEOP staff to customize instruction to address the diverse needs of students.
5. Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.
6. Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and growth.
7. Attend training sessions and meetings as required by the HEOP program.

Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in Education, Mathematics, English, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching and tutoring at the high school or college/university level.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong commitment to educational equity and the mission of HEOP.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of students, educators, and administrators.

Compensation:
The position offers a stipend of $3000.
