We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nurse Educator in the Inpatient 5th Floor - SRMC department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing educational leadership to enhance specialized patient care within clinical protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement unit-based strategies for developing clinical skills through the master clinician, master preceptor model.
- Provide educational leadership to enhance specialized patient care within clinical protocols.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Educator as well as the Clinical Nurse Specialist, Specialty RN, or Unit Director to plan and implement pertinent curricula.
- Deliver safe direct care to an assigned group of patients, providing specialized patient care within nursing protocols and assisting the admission, transfer and discharge process performing all RN nursing duties.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- 18 months directly related experience as a Registered Nurse.
- CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer certification within 30 days.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification within 90 days.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification within 6 months of hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification within 6 months.
This position requires heavy work, exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.
This position also requires working in an environment with potential chemical and biohazardous materials, requiring personal protective equipment (PPE).
