About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated UR Coordinator to join our team at UHS. As a UR Coordinator, you will play a critical role in promoting quality care outcomes and the effective use of resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, clinical staff, and patients to ensure high-quality care and effective resource utilization.
  • Accurately interpret treatment plans and medical records in accordance with current standards of care.
  • Manage treatment activities, including clinical screening of admissions, establishment of treatment plans, and interface with the treatment team and external case managers.
  • Implement and supervise discharge planning to ensure seamless transitions of care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing (BSN preferred).
  • Minimum of two years of direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting.
  • Experience in patient assessment, treatment planning, and quality improvement guidelines, particularly with Medicare/Medicaid and external review organizations.
  • R.N. licensure with BSN highly preferred; additional certifications in case management, mental health, and quality improvement highly regarded.
