Position Overview

The Skilled Trades & Technology Division is in search of dedicated faculty to instruct the Advanced Industrial Technology (AIT) curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Course Management:

  • Deliver Advanced Industrial Technology (AIT) curriculum classes in alignment with institutional policies across various modalities (e.g., in-person, online, hybrid, etc.) as assigned by the division chair or program director.
  • Facilitate learning through diverse instructional methods including lectures, labs, seminars, and other educational formats, adapting to the needs of the course content.
  • Utilize multiple assessment strategies; provide timely feedback on student assignments to support their academic progress.
  • Engage with students through various communication channels, ensuring consistent support and guidance.
  • Outline availability for student assistance outside of scheduled class hours.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of student performance and submit required documentation by established deadlines.
  • Design and assess instructional materials as directed by the division chair or program director.
  • Create and refine syllabi and course schedules in accordance with institutional guidelines.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure curriculum integrity and relevance, participating in ongoing curriculum reviews.
  • Contribute to student recruitment and retention through effective teaching strategies.
2. Community Engagement and Service:
  • Support the college's mission by fostering a professional and educational environment that enhances student success and community relations.
3. Professional Growth:
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance instructional practices.
  • Stay informed about trends in education and technology to improve teaching methodologies.
  • Engage in the evaluation process as outlined by institutional policies.
Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelor's degree with three years of relevant experience in manufacturing, or an Associate degree with five years of experience, or a recognized certification in manufacturing with five years of experience in the field.
