Job Title: Adjunct Professor of Theatre Arts

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Professor of Theatre Arts to join our team at Oklahoma City Community College. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree with at least 18 graduate hours in theatre, drama, musical theatre, or a closely related field.

Job Summary:

The Adjunct Professor of Theatre Arts will be responsible for teaching courses in theatre arts, including acting, voice and speech improvement, and make-up for the stage. The ideal candidate will have experience in local, regional, and/or national theatre/stage productions and previous community college teaching experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach courses in theatre arts, including acting, voice and speech improvement, and make-up for the stage
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students
  • Assess student learning outcomes and provide feedback
  • Participate in department meetings and contribute to the development of the theatre arts program
  • Support the College's vision, mission, goals, and priorities
Requirements:
  • Master's degree with at least 18 graduate hours in theatre, drama, musical theatre, or a closely related field
  • Experience in local, regional, and/or national theatre/stage productions
  • Previous community college teaching experience
  • Ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in teaching online or hybrid courses
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn computer programs used in the department and on campus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
