Job Summary:

The Adjunct Professor of Art History will be responsible for teaching Art History courses, including ART 1013 ART HISTORY: Ancient to Early Renaissance, ART 1023 ART HISTORY: Renaissance to Contemporary, and ART 1053 ART APPRECIATION. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Art History, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create engaging and interactive learning experiences for students.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach Art History courses, including lectures, discussions, and assignments
  • Develop and implement course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development
  • Support student success and retention through office hours, advising, and mentoring
Requirements:
  • Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in Art History
  • Strong background in Art History, including knowledge of art processes and concepts
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create engaging and interactive learning experiences
  • Flexibility to teach on-campus, hybrid, or online
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience teaching Art History courses
  • Knowledge of competency-based instructional systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
