Key Responsibilities:
1. Install, inspect, and maintain:
- Pipes
- Fittings
- Taps on mains of various sizes
- Hydrants and valves (including insertion, altitude, regulator, relief, air, and main)
2. Set up and operate patent connection machines, perform service line cuts, and handle various sizes of service lines.
3. Execute drilling, ram, and backfill tasks, including shovel work as required.
4. Follow instructions from the Construction Leader and/or Senior ISMP/Sub Leader.
5. Maintain and repair cutting machines, pipe saws, tapping machines, and perform masonry and rough carpentry work for trench sheathing and formwork.
6. Operate air compressors and pneumatic equipment for pavement breaking, drilling, and backfilling.
7. Utilize various construction equipment as assigned.
8. Assist in the training and development of fellow employees.
9. Perform other related duties as assigned.
10. Provide support to higher classification employees as needed.
11. May substitute on the large valve truck based on seniority, receiving the same pay rate.
12. Participate in regularly scheduled standby emergency duties, ensuring a response time not exceeding 45 minutes.
