Responsibilities:

Position Summary:
The individual in this role will function as both a Patient Services Representative and Scheduler.

Core Duties and Accountabilities:
1. Welcome and assist patients by addressing inquiries related to their insurance coverage and office procedures using AIDET principles.

2. Confirm and update patient demographic and insurance information online, registering new patients as needed.

3. Collect and accurately record payments, ensuring daily deposits are balanced.

4. Schedule, cancel, and coordinate patient appointments utilizing the IDX system.

5. Create, assign, and manage tasks within the electronic medical records system.

6. Gather necessary patient information as required.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

2. Ability to type at least 35 words per minute is necessary.

3. Successful completion of a clerical and 10-key assessment is required.

4. General computer proficiency is essential.

5. Experience with Windows-based operating systems is required.

Additional Requirements:
1. Ability to exercise sound judgment in various confidential and sensitive scenarios.

2. Strong communication skills to interact effectively and professionally with both internal and external clients using AIDET principles.

3. Capability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time efficiently.

4. Willingness to follow instructions and established protocols.

5. Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions with frequent interruptions and varied hours.

6. Ability to maintain accurate, legible, and complete records in a timely manner.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. One year of experience in a medical office setting, including business and scheduling responsibilities, is preferred.

2. Familiarity with insurance and billing processes is advantageous.

3. Experience with IDX systems is preferred.

4. Proficiency with 10-key adding machines/calculators is beneficial.

5. Understanding of business communication fundamentals and medical terminology is preferred.
