Assistant Nurse Manager

ChristianaCare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Neuro Critical Care team as an Assistant Nurse Manager. This is a full-time position with a day/midnight commitment, requiring rotation depending on the needs of the department.
About the Role:
- Assist the Nurse Manager in the clinical and administrative activities of the departments to ensure patients receive quality care.
- Supervise all nursing and technical personnel, assessing competency, overseeing daily staffing, and evaluating staff performance.
- Participate in hiring, promotion, and termination decisions, and function as a role model, demonstrating quality expertise and professional behaviors.
- Develop, implement, and monitor performance improvement and patient safety initiatives, and identify strategies to improve staff knowledge and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
- Direct, mentor, and support all levels of staff.
- Analyze administrative and operational functions, implementing changes and system-wide improvements.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
- Master's degree in Nursing required within 5 years.
- Three years' acute care experience required, with leadership experience preferred.
- Appropriate clinical certification required.
