Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Linux Administrator to join our team at RTX. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity, including the integration of hardware and operating systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Linux systems and infrastructure
  • Install and configure hardware and operating systems
  • Collaborate with engineers to support software, simulations, and hardware development
  • Experience with virtual computing methods, including VMware vCenter, vSphere, and ESX
  • High Performance Computing (HPC) experience in a Linux environment
  • Experience with system hardening using tools like SCAP and following STIGs
  • Enterprise Active Directory (AD) and LDAP experience
  • Scripting experience
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience or 9 years of prior relevant experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Linux experience and experience in one of the following: VMware vCenter, vSphere, VDI (Horizon), ESX and/or other virtual computing methods
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active DoD Secret or Top-Secret clearance
  • DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level 2 certification or higher
  • Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF
  • Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions
  • Experience with using Information Technology project lifecycle management processes
