JOB SUMMARY:

The Value Stream Leader oversees the aircraft completion process, ensuring effective planning, organization, and management of workforce costs. This role is crucial for maintaining production flow in accordance with established schedules while enhancing quality, safety, efficiency, and team member training.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervises and allocates team members to production tasks based on schedules, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Accountable for safety, quality assurance, adherence to schedules, and operational efficiency.
  • Engages daily with team members to discuss workmanship, efficiency, and safe working conditions, while identifying ergonomic improvements.
  • Implements lean manufacturing methodologies and coordinates Area Team Development initiatives for the designated area.
  • Conducts weekly team meetings to communicate important updates and resolve ongoing issues.
  • Assists the Value Stream Manager in monitoring daily production activities through continuous efficiency assessments, aircraft production tracking, and budget analysis.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred; alternatively, a minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience and/or relevant supervisory experience is required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to thrive in team-oriented environments.
  • Experience with Area Team Development processes and SAP is preferred.
