We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Westinghouse Electric Company. As a key member of our innovative team, you will play a critical role in supporting our mission to provide clean energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design and analysis of advanced reactor systems, including the AP1000 and AP300 power plants.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate subsystems and resolve emergent design issues.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of complex technical projects.
- Provide technical guidance and direction to team members, including partners and suppliers.
- Stay up-to-date with industry codes, standards, and regulations, applying this knowledge to design activities.
- BS in Mechanical Engineering (MS/PhD preferred) or equivalent experience.
- Mechanical PE license.
- Familiarity with advanced reactor technology and designs.
- Strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
