Automation Technician

The Automation Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing complex systems, performing preventative maintenance, and completing work orders in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform instrumentation calibration and repair to ensure accurate readings and optimal system performance.
- Understand manufacturing processes and process control to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
- Install, wire, and troubleshoot VFDs, servos, and motor starting devices to maintain production uptime.
- Troubleshoot and repair medium complexity systems and equipment to minimize downtime.
- Perform special projects and assignments as assigned by management.
- Complete work orders and maintain accurate records of tasks performed.
- Respond to equipment downtime events and communicate with resources to resolve issues quickly.
- Perform Lockout Tagout procedures to ensure safe operation.
- Perform job duties safely as outlined in the Automation Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to become certified in forklift and overhead crane operation.
- Ability to read and write in English to complete required documentation.
- Basic computer skills.
- Associate's Degree in Automation, Mechanics, and/or other technical related discipline.
- Electromechanical systems experience.
- Knowledge of standards and practices commonly used in industrial manufacturing.
- Knowledge of industrial computing hardware and software.
- Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Industrial work experience.
- High attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Direct communication.
- Sense of urgency in completing work.
- Capable of multitasking.
- Work well both independently and with a team.
- Self-motivated.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Push/pull 100 lbs.
- Stand on feet for long periods of time during a shift for up to 12 hours, with intermittent breaks.
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by Cambria.
- Participate in daily stretch and flex exercises.
- Occasionally work in wet and/or humid conditions.
- Work in a non-climate controlled environment.
- Climb in and out of a forklift multiple times throughout shift.
- Walk up and down steps multiple times throughout shift.
- Bend over multiple times throughout shift.
- Ride tricycle throughout facility.
- Steel toed boots.
- Hearing Protection.
- Safety glasses.
- Cut-proof gloves.
- Respirator.
- Face shield.
- Arc flash rated safety shield.
- Arc flash rated safety gloves.
