Job Overview:

As a key member of our finance team at Interplace, you will oversee the comprehensive management of financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, meticulously reviewing all accounting domains including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Payroll, and Cash Management. You will communicate financial outcomes to our headquarters in Japan through the Stravis system under strict deadlines.
  • Develop and monitor budgets, analyze variances, and prepare forecasts for cash flow on a monthly basis.
  • Lead, mentor, and assess a team of three staff members in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • Engage in various special projects as requested by management and our Japanese headquarters.
  • Ensure compliance by filing all necessary returns with federal, state, and local authorities.
  • Support internal and external auditors, as well as tax professionals, by providing essential financial documentation and schedules.
  • Prepare annual financial statements for auditing purposes.

Qualifications:
  • Fluency in English and Japanese (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Proven experience as an Accounting Manager.
  • Experience in the transportation sector is advantageous.
  • Preferred background in branch management.
  • Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with SAP is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of complex accounting and tax regulations is preferred.
